Eye Brow Tutorial | Anastasia Beverly Hills

20130816-160553.jpg

Hello Beauties!

Today I’m bringing you a brow tutorial using all Anastasia Beverly Hills products. I am really impressed with her products, so I hope you find this useful.

Here are the steps to achieve the look:

1.) Tweeze any stray hairs with the Anastasia tweezers and brush out the brow.
2.) To get a clean edge, line the bottom of your brow with the matte side of the brow duality pencil.
3.) Take the brow pen (mine is in universal deep) and start filling in the brow leaving the inner most part blank. (You can use light stokes to fill in that section if desired.)
4.) With the angled brush, dab it into the lighter color in the brow powder duo (mine is in brunette) and use this to lightly fill in the front of the brow. Also, with the matte side of the brow duality pencil, line the upper brow to give it a clean edge.
5.) Blend the top and bottom brow duality pencil lines with your finger or a brush.
6.) Set all the hairs in place with the clear brow gel.

All finished!!

Till the next one lovelies!

Red, white and blue Fourth of July/ Independence Day inspired makeup look

Hello gorgeous!

I know I’m a day behind, but I just wanted to share this fun Fourth of July inspired look. Obviously I didn’t go out with this, it was just fun to create a look to go with Independence Day! ๐Ÿ™‚

20130706-005947.jpg

My son also had a blast watching the fireworks at Shepherd of the Hills church. Every year they have a huge celebration and my husband and I have gone for the past 12 years. I guess you can say it’s a family tradition and it was so awesome to see my son’s face light up as the fireworks went off! Every time they burst he would scream “BOOM”! It was the cutest thing ๐Ÿ™‚

Bright & Colorful | Pink & Purple makeup look | LA makeup artist

Hello beautiful!

So, I’ve been dying to get my hands on this Sugarpill Cosmetics “Sweetheart Palette” for the longest time, but haven’t gotten around to ordering it.

20130701-095022.jpg

I went into Nigel Beauty Emporium the other day and there it was! This was the only palette out of the three that they had so I got it. Plus they sell all 12 individual eyeshadows. I couldn’t wait to get home and try them out.

Let me just say, I’ve been missing out! These eyeshadows are so pigmented and lasted me all night. If you live here in Southern California you know that we just had a major heat wave and through the heat it didn’t melt off or rub away. I was very impressed!

Here’s my look using these fabulous shadows. Hope you like it.

Pictorial- make your brushes soft again using conditioner!

Hello Beauties!!

Sorry I’ve been MIA! These past two months have been my busiest months yet. I had tons of Weddings, Engagement shoots, Proms, and a Pin-up photo shoot! I’m going to be posting the photos from the pin-up shoot later this week so stay tuned for that!!

Today I’m just bringing to you a quick tip that I did the other day with my makeup brushes. They were starting to get really coarse and they just weren’t soft anymore. So here’s a step-by-step pictorial on how to get that “new” soft feeling back to your brushes ๐Ÿ™‚

20130605-085131.jpg

1. Wash your brush with an antibacterial soap, brush cleaner or shampoo
2. Rinse the soap out of the brush
3. Get your favorite hair conditioner. I used Aveeno Nourish+Moisturize conditioner. I love this one! It leaves them silky smooth.
4. Apply a small amount to the palm of your hand. The amount you use depends on the size of your brush
5. Sweep your brush around the conditioner
6. Rinse it off well. You’ll already feel a difference in the bristles’ texture
7. Lay them flat to dry and voila! Your brushes will thank you! ๐Ÿ™‚

Thanks for reading! Till the next one Laugh often & Love always

Turquoise Reverse Smokey Eye & Brow Tutorial

Hello Beauties!

I had one of my friends request a brow tutorial, so I thought I’d share it with you all as well.ย Follow these steps below to achieve this type of brow. I know everyone does it differently, but this is how I do mine. ๐Ÿ™‚

photo 1

1. Prime the eyebrow with an eye primer (optional)
2. Using an angled brush draw the bottom line of your brow with a brown eyeshadow
3. Draw a second line from the top of the arch down to where you’d like your brow to end
4. Connect the lines and fill in the tail of your brow
5. Draw a line on top of your brow connecting to the arch
6. Fill in the center and blend the color evenly
7. With the left over product on the brush start to fill in the front of the brow very lightly and blend the harsh lines out
8. Take a light concealer and with a flat synthetic brush draw a line directly under the brow to make it sharp and clean
9. With the same brush blend the concealer down so there is no harsh line
10. Do the same process to the top of the brow except use a concealer color that’s close to your skin tone
-voila- shaply brows!

Next up is the makeup I did with these brows. I went with a more dramatic look.
